Dr. Gaurav Dixit

Dr. Gaurav Dixit is a distinguished Hemato-Oncologist and Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) specialist with extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of complex benign and malignant blood disorders. He completed his MBBS and MD in General Medicine from PGIMS Rohtak in 2008. After finishing his senior residency, he joined the Department of Clinical Hematology at AIIMS Delhi in 2011, where he developed a deep interest in hematological diseases and transplant medicine.

To further enhance his expertise, Dr. Dixit pursued DM in Clinical Haematology from the renowned CMC Vellore—one of India’s most advanced hematology and transplant centers. During his three years of rigorous training, he worked at a high-volume BMT unit, gaining hands-on experience in intricate transplant procedures. Over the years, he has independently performed or participated in more than 500 bone marrow transplants, covering autologous, allogenic, haploidentical, and matched unrelated donor transplants.

Dr. Dixit’s interests span across the management of aplastic anemia, leukemia, lymphoma, thalassemia, sickle cell disease, immunodeficiencies, and myeloproliferative neoplasms. He believes in delivering evidence-based, patient-centric care with compassion and transparency. His commitment to accessible cancer care led him to contribute internationally—he is credited with performing the first bone marrow transplant in Kenya and helping establish a transplant infrastructure, including labs, blood bank systems, and staff training. This milestone made Kenya only the second East African nation to conduct BMT procedures.
